Every moment we live in is riddled with imperfections. Have you noticed? We humans are capable but fallible; the longing overwhelms us sometimes. This leaky, hungry, emotional machine that we walk around in is my inspiration and my set of tools. Clay describes our stories with uncanny devotion to our cracks and drool, so I push towards those beautiful flaws in my work. I want you to see how lovely, how funny, how connected we are in our imperfections.
Biography After raising 4 children, I received my Bachelor's in Fine Art from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and completed a Master's in Fine Art at the University of Delaware in 2009. Since returning to my roots in Tennessee and marrying my best friend from high school, I have been teaching private art classes and making pottery and sculpture for the Chattanooga Market and local businesses. As a Full Circle Teaching Artist Program member, I am currently teaching at Art Creations as well as Calvin Donaldson Elementary.
